Smt. NHL Municipal Medical College in Ellis Bridge  is a co-educational Medical Colleges in Ahmedabad. The academic institute was founded by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation in the year 1963 with generous donation of Rs. 14.25 Lakhs from Smt. Nathiba Hargovandas Lakhmichand charitable trust to promote medical education and to provide best possible medical care to the citizens of Ahmedabad. It was only the second Municipal Corporation to establish a medical college of its own.

The objective of the college is not only to produce a good doctor but good citizen with empathy for poor patients. At the time of its establishment in 1963, the college initially enrolled 75 students and expanded to its current capacity of 150 in the year 2000. The College is affiliated to Gujarat University and recognized by Medical Council of India. The College is affiliated to 5 city hospitals where the medical students rotate for their training. The college offers courses Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Doctor of Medicine in Various Specializations, Master of Surgery in Various Specializations, Master of Churirgical in Various Specializations and Diploma Courses.
