The famous milk co-operative, Indian dairy giant and the taste of India, Amul will be launching a range of its new products french fries, samosa, burger patty (Aloo Tikki ), frozen products in the market this Diwali and products will be cheaper than those available in the market. The unique thing about these frozen potato products will be that after millions of milk producers, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), based at Anand, Gujarat, India, jointly owned by 3.6 million milk producers is now planning to directly procure potatoes from close to 2500 farmers in Deesa, hub of potato farming and surrounding areas in north Gujarat, which is known for quality potatoes to provide better returns to the potato growers through contract farming. The plant is soon going to start production.

The unique thing about these frozen potato products will be that after millions of milk producers, Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), which today is jointly owned by 3.6 million milk producers in Gujarat and based at Anand in the state of Gujarat, India is now planning to directly procure potatoes from close to 2500 farmers in Deesa, hub of potato farming and surrounding areas in north Gujarat, which is known for quality potatoes to provide better returns to the potato growers through contract farming. The plant is soon going to start production.

Amul, registered on 14 December 1946 has readied a plant for these products, McCain Foods Limited, the subsidiary of the Canadian multinational and Hyfun Frozen Foods plant at Mehsana – Ahmedabad highway and its production capacity will be 50,000 tonnes. Now, potatoes too will be utterly butterly delicious.
